At Sørengvatn and Kalbekkvika we offer the most varied fishing on the estate. Skogstua is a long way from people, with good fishing possibilities for trout outside the cabin door and further up in the mountain.
In the shallow and productive lake Sørengvatn you can catch trout up to one kilo. Our guests at Sørengvatn have boat at their disposal. The river running from Sørengvatn to lake Storvatnet is a great place for fly fishing, and the lower 500 meters of the river holds salmon and sea trout. There’s also trout and arctic char in lake Storvatnet and Fjellvatnet. The char is mostly small but the brown trout can grow to 3 kilos.
For those who enjoy mountain lake fishing we recommend visiting lake Søbergsvatn. Its regarded as the best trout lake on the estate by many guests. At Søbergsvatn you will find a boat at your disposal and an extra hut where you can spend the night. Lower- and upper Urdstjørn are also good mountain lakes for trout fishing.
In the Eide watercourse our guests at Sørengvatn can fish for sea trout and salmon in 3 lakes and 2 rivers. River Øvereidelva is fast and with a lot of white water, but the inlet/outlet are good spots. Most of the spawning grounds lies above Øvereidet so a large proportion of anadromous fish pass through this point. PS! Guests at Øvereidet cabin have exclusive fishing right on the north-western side of the river. The river Aunelva is completely different, with its slow running water and meandering character. Perfect for single hand fly fishing.

* Sea trout: 1.6. – 14.9.
* Salmon: 15.6. – 31.7.
Quotas (per person):
* Sea trout: 5 sea trout and 5 arctic char
* Salmon: 1 salmon under 60 cm.
Regulations: Max. size sea trout and salmon is 60 cm. Fishing can continue after the quotas have been reached as long as "catch and release" is practiced.
Guests at Sagmestereidet have the exclusive right to fish in the Eide river and ot to sign about 50 meters past the floating dock in the fjord.
Guests at Øvereidet have the exclusive right to fish along both sides of the Øvereidet river.
The innermost part of Eidevassdraget is different, but just as stunning as our places further down the water system. Large forest areas with a unique biodiversity, mountains with several lime stone caves, wetland areas, rivers, and waterfalls.
Standing outside the cabin or looking out the window, you have spruce and fir forest, but towards the water, there is a large open field with the Sørengvatn lake and the Søberg waterfall in the background.
A gravel road leads up to the cabin door, making the otherwise isolated cabin easy to reach. Many find a quiet wonder and stillness from being here and an a large appreciation of spending time in unpolluted, pure nature.
An older logged cabin about 35 m2 with 2 bedrooms, hallway and wood-storage, outhouse and a separate shower room. Totally sleeping accomodation for 5 in 2 bunks in each bedroom and 1 on the sofa. A wooden lavvo (sami tent) with 4 benches is available during parts of the stay at Søbergsvatn.
Simple and practical standard. Kitchen table for 5 persons, sofa, coffee table and 2 chairs.
Plenty of cutlery, plates, pots and pans for up to 5 persons. Coffee maker.
Running water in washroom/ shower room. Propane burner and a wood-burning stove/oven. Propane fridge. Kerosine lamps in the cabin. An aluminium box is buried in the marsh behind the cabin and works as a cellar.
A 12′ Alufish with a 5 Hp motor in Storvatn/ Fjellvatn. Rowing boat in Sørengvatn, and a rowing boat available in Søbergsvatn, Govatn and in Strauman that are shared with our guests at Sørengvatn.
4 life jackets, 70-90 kg, lie in the cabin.Other sizes on request. There are no vests in the boats at Søbergsvatn, Govatn or in Strauman, so you have to bring from the cabin.
At the inner part of the Eide water system. 20 metres from the car parkering, about 65 km from Brønnøysund in the direction of Tosbotn. About 200 metres from Sørengvatn. Several km to the nearest neighbour. Post office and shop: Hommelstø about 25 km.

In the boat-house in Kalbekkvika (about 15 minutes of driving) there is a freezer for you to use during the stay.

Tour guiding, eg. to caves in the area, carrying of equipment, fishing/hunting guide, dog sledge-driving during winter etc, can be organized on request
