The
cabin lies next to the lake Eidevatn, with the river running past the cabin
and into the fjord. From the cabin, you have the view over the fjord in front
of you, and the lake behind you. This area has recently been put under special
restrictions by the government due to its special biology. In the old days,
this was a farm. The river and the fjord provided food as well as mechanical
power for a grinding mill , and the surrounding forests and mountains provided
meat, berries and mushrooms. Small patches of fields were cleared to cultivate
hey and vegetables. Today, you can see the remains of some of the old
buildings, and also what remains of the old dam that was used for log
driving. The cabin is built on the foundation of the old farm house and has
what you need for a comfortable vacation. Boats etc. is included in the price.
