  • Exclusive rights for Fishing in several good mountain lakes
  • Fishing in the Åbjøra lake after trout and arctic char
  • Trout Fishing in a low strained mountain area.

The Åbjøra water system is a world of splendid and pure nature, with a rich animal life and a varied vegetation. Books have been written about Åbjøra and the people living here in former times.

At Åbjørneset, a headland between the Åbjøra lake and the river Åelva, lies a land cabin that originally was used for forestry. There is a nice view from the cabin, and is perfect for 2-4 people to use as starting point for  fishing in the Åbjøra lake and in several good mountain lakes.

You can drive to. From there, you reach the cabin by crossing the 4 km long lake Åbjørvatnet (boat included).

Fishing:
In the mountains around the Åbjøra lake lies several smaller lakes. Our guests have Fishing rights in all of these. In addition, they have exclusive rights in a group of small lakes called Nilsfinntjønnin (difficult to pronounce even for a Norwegian). These lakes are at a high altitude, and a good walk from the cabin, so we recommend bringing sleeping bags and some equipment for outdoor camping.

Our guests have Fishing rights in the Åbjøra lake. The fish is plentiful but of modest size. There has been caught innland trout up to 4 kg, but more common size is 300-500 grams. In 2001 a salmon ladder was built, and good populations of wild salmon and sea trout are now beeing established in the lake. Boat is included.

Additional information:

Boat in the Åbjøra lake is included. In the autumn you will normally find an abundance of mushrooms and berries (blueberries, mountain cranberries, cloudberries) that you are free to collect.

Arrival and departure: The offer is based on weekly rental. Arrival at the Åbjøra lake at Saturdays 1400 hrs. Departure next Saturday at 1300 hrs. Other times and durability can be agreed upon.

Other information: You must bring your own sleeping bags or bed linen (pillows and duvets included). There is no mobile coverage in the area (10 min drive from the parking to GSM coverage. Map reference: M 711: NR.1824 I, 1824 IV, 1825 II and 1825 III
